Environmental Officer

Responsibility

Develop and implement environmental plans and programs
Supervise and oversee hygiene and environmental management, including wastewater treatment, air quality, and waste handling
Monitor and ensure that subordinates comply with the rules and policies set by the department and the company
Record inspection results for water quality, air quality, and waste management
Improve the factory’s environment to meet required standards
Coordinate with government agencies on environmental improvements
Source service providers for in-factory pollution treatment
Approve chemical requisition forms
Coordinate air pollution monitoring and control activities
Manage storage space for waste materials and ensure that all containers are properly sealed and safe
Prepare reports on departmental performance and activities

Qualifications

Age 23 years or older
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
Experience in environmental management within an industrial or manufacturing setting
Must possess a valid wastewater treatment license
